First Church’s Youth Ministry provides a number of opportunities for youth to serve the community and the church, fellowship and worship with their peers, and strengthen their personal relationship with Jesus Christ throughout the week.

Sunday School is an opportunity for youth to learn and grow as disciples of Christ, strengthening their relationship with Him while deepening their understanding of God’s Word and how it applies to their lives and their world around them. Sunday school classes for all youth, 6th through 12th grade, meet upstairs in the Family Life Center. Momentum Youth Fellowship meets twice a week for games, Bible study, service, and prayer, providing middle school through high school students the opportunity to gain momentum in changing the world for Christ. The youth music ministry at First Church is an active part of our church’s worship and mission. Both the vocal and bell choirs rehearse on a weekly basis and share their music in worship once a month. They also share the gospel in music throughout the community and other area events.

Confirmation is an opportunity for youth to confirm and proclaim their faith in God. Through class sessions with the pastors and meeting with personal mentors, Confirmation participants gain a better understanding and knowledge of the Christian faith, the core beliefs and practices of the United Methodist Church, and come to a full understanding of Baptism, Holy Communion, and what it means to become a professing member of the Stillwater First United Methodist Church.
Participants are given the opportunity to join the church on Confirmation Sunday held in the Spring of each year. The class is designed for sixth grade students, but seventh and eigth graders who have yet to be confirmed may also participate.

Monday Nights at 7 p.m. – Scout Hut
